3x faster issue response on the shop floor.

Managers had no visibility into shop-floor production data and relied on end-of-day paper reports. We connected the floor to live dashboards and a maintenance request system.

THE CHALLENGE

Where They
Started.

Managers had no visibility into shop-floor production data; they relied on end-of-day paper reports that were often a full shift stale by the time anyone read them. A stalled line or a failing part could sit unreported for hours, and maintenance requests were phone calls and sticky notes that regularly got lost between shifts.

  • Production data was only ever reviewed the next morning, a full shift late
  • Maintenance requests were verbal handoffs between shifts, with no record
  • No way to compare plant performance without manually re-keying paper logs

If this sounds like your environment, the first conversation is free and takes 15 minutes.

THE WORK

What We
Did.

We built live Power BI dashboards fed by shop-floor sensors and a Power Apps maintenance request system, so issues surface the moment they happen instead of the next morning.

01

Shop-floor data audit

Catalogued every existing sensor and PLC feed across both plants to find what could be tapped without new hardware.

02

Live Power BI dashboards

Streamed production data into role-specific dashboards — line status for supervisors, throughput trends for plant managers.

03

Power Apps maintenance requests

Replaced verbal handoffs with a tablet app that logs, timestamps, and routes maintenance requests to the right technician.

04

Cross-plant reporting

Unified both plants' data into one Power BI workspace so leadership compares performance without re-keying anything.

We'd scope the same kind of engagement for your business, with timelines and effort against each stage.

The first time a supervisor caught a jam from the dashboard before the line even called it in, that's when the plant manager stopped asking if this was worth it.

A logistics company

Like a lot of growing operations, this logistics company approved invoices by forwarding emails. Someone then tracked who had signed off in a shared spreadsheet, retyping the same details every day. It worked, right up until the person who knew the spreadsheet went on vacation. The cracks showed in the usual places. Approvals sat unread at the bottom of inboxes. Nobody could say for certain who had signed off, or when, without scrolling back through an email chain. A mistyped number was caught late, if at all. The team did not want yet another subscription, another login, another monthly fee for an approval tool. They wanted the process fixed, inside the tools they already trusted. They thought they needed to buy an approval tool. It turned out they already owned everything they needed.

A field services company

This field services company had rented an off the shelf tracking tool for years. It almost fit. The field teams bent their day around the software, not the other way round. Every month the subscription invoice landed for a product nobody loved. Half the fields were ignored, and the one screen they truly needed was never there. When they looked at the alternatives, the story repeated. Every serious platform meant a bigger monthly fee and a long onboarding. Each one added another login and another place their data would live. They did not want a heavier rental. They wanted a tool that matched how they worked, and they wanted to own it. They did not want a heavier rental. They wanted a tool shaped around their work, living in their own system, that was theirs to keep.

A growing construction firm

The owner ran the business. They were also the person every Microsoft 365 question landed on. A password reset here, a new hire's laptop there, a mailbox that stopped syncing, a Teams setting nobody could find. None of it was their job. All of it was eating their week. As they put it to us, they did not want to figure this stuff out anymore. It was not what they did, and it took too much time. They were not looking for a one and done fix either. They wanted a partner that could grow the system as the business scaled. Every IT problem had no home except the owner's inbox, and the owner had a company to run.
